Today I am struggling to get started. This could be any number of things – I have different assignments to work on at once and I’m working on applications for other things as well as just trying to get on with my life. I’m not overstretched, but I think I am preoccupied.
I’m going to spend some time trying to gently shift my writers block away – over the week I’ve been kind of pushing myself to just do something, but I think that’s what made the block happen in the first place.
Using this post from Disk Makers as inspiration, I’m going to go through this list and take some of the pressure off of myself. I’ll report back as I go and we’ll see how the whole process goes 🙂
In the meantime, here’s an earworm I’ve had for the past week. It’s from a show I used to watch when I was little called Dexter’s Laboratory. In the episode he gets a music teacher that he starts off hating, but once the teacher sees he’s created a machine that plays an arpeggio they start to warm up to each other. The song’s about finding inspiration and creating music, so it feels right to put it here
